Our Story

Why OCSS

offers an unrivaled soccer experience for both players and families living in the area! Our focus: to develop each and every player's soccer abilities and to use soccer as a “training” tool to create well-rounded individuals on and off the field! How is this done? “Trust!” At , we create an environment of trust—the most important trait in team sports as well as life relationships! Prospective players and their families are joining more than an “Academy.” You are joining the soccer family! We can’t wait to meet, greet and receive you into our family!

OCSS Philosophy - 4 RULES

Mistakes are good! Our coaches use these "learning opportunities" to teach our players how to accept and learn from the errors made. As in life, the only people who don't make mistakes are those who do nothing at all!

The importance of teamwork! Our coaches train our players on how to properly support the team; players learn how to trust their teammates, understand that everyone makes mistakes (see rule #1), and "the how" to support teammates (i.e. field position, verbal cues, verbal positive feedback, and so on).

Setting/Achieving Goals: Coaches are constantly assessing players. Using these "player assessments," teams compete at the appropriate league level; these assessments also help identify our player's next learning objectives. Players are taught the mindset needed to be successful.

Communication. For our players, coaches ensure that our players understand the lesson being taught. This website answers a broad range of questions that our family members may have. Still have an additional question? No problem, use the "Support Section" to quickly send an email to our support team (email reply within 48 hrs). We also have our mobile native application (no additional charge) to quickly communicate events and event changes! Our mobile app is another communication tool available to members!

Academy Goals

Our coaches nurture players throughout the development process. Mistakes are not punishable offenses, but rather used as an invaluable training tool! Players our taught how to recognize field situations, identify the options, and how to make the best choice! Similar to life as a citizen, players are taught the importance of working-as-a-unit, supporting their team by learning situational awareness, the importance of trusting your teammates, as well as verbal/emotional support; denigrating/chastising teammate's is unacceptable! Only by working together, can a team be successful!

Our Story

Orlando City Soccer Schools are flagship Orlando City Youth Embassies. Strategically spread throughout Central Florida, these Embassies provide access for youth soccer players who are passionate about the game and dream on making it to the highest levels. The Embassies also provide unparalleled experiences with Orlando City players and staff that will follow players and character development practices from Orlando City Academy and First Team.
